Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Ystad. The rooms were fine, overlooking the car park, and the daily breakfast spread was quite ample. The service was excellent; the staff even credited our main courses down to zero. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of Ystad, near the harbor and downtown area. The dining experience was lovely, with a high-quality selection of treats. Overall, a great value for money option with friendly service and a convenient location.
Staying at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were quiet thanks to the triple glazing, but could get stuffy in summer if the windows were closed. The daily breakfast was ample, offering a variety of options, but some areas of the hotel, like the second floor, could use a refresh. The price we paid for a larger room with a cot was fairly reasonable.
I had the privilege of enjoying spacious rooms with private access to the Hotel balcony, overlooking the street. Despite the view of the car park, the room was fine, and the daily breakfast spread was ample with a great selection of breads, meats, cheeses, hot dishes, and fruits.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the room gave me a feeling of grandness with a small sitting area and was very clean and comfortable, it was quite small. The service was friendly, with staff clearing plates promptly and offering surprisingly good dinner options. The location was ideal, within easy walking distance of many attractions and Wallander haunts. The dining was decent, and the large high-ceiling restaurant added to the grand ambiance. However, the rooms' size was a drawback, and the dining experience could be improved.
The hotel had a contemporary Scandinavian feel at the front, though our room facing the front was noisy due to open windows. The rooms were good but a bit smaller than expected. The service was commendable, especially during a breakfast buffet situation with apologies and help finding another restaurant. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring charming old buildings and Wallander sights on foot. The dining experience was surprising and offered a variety of quality choices in a grand setting. The facilities were well-maintained and added to the overall experience.
